Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Batchy is a manufacturing and inventory application used by companies to run their own operations. This policy explains what we store when you or your company uses Batchy, why we store it, and what choices you have. It is written by us as the operator of Batchy and describes our own practices only.
Information we store
Account details. Your name, email address and the companies you belong to, along with the role assigned to you in each company. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us in readable form.
Company operational records. The data your team enters: items, bills of materials, warehouses, stock balances and lots, purchase and sales documents, production builds and process runs, shipments, adjustments and transfers.
Activity records. For accountability, Batchy records which user created or changed a document and when, together with the values that changed.
Technical information. Basic request and error information needed to keep the service running and to diagnose problems.
Why we store it
To provide the application to your company: showing your stock and documents, calculating balances and costs, applying role-based access, keeping an audit trail your administrators can review, and supporting you when something goes wrong.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your company's operational data for advertising.
Zoho Books and other connections
If your company chooses to connect Zoho Books, Batchy exchanges data with your Zoho organisation on your instruction: master records such as items, customers and vendors, and transactions such as invoices, bills, receipts, transfers and adjustments. The name of the Batchy user who posted a document may be included in the notes of the corresponding Zoho record so both systems show who did what.
Access to Zoho is granted by your administrator through Zoho's own authorisation screen and can be disconnected from Batchy at any time. Data already sent to your Zoho organisation is governed by your agreement with Zoho.
Access within your company
Each company's data is kept separate, and access inside a company is limited by the role your administrator assigns to you. Administrators can see company-wide records, including the activity log. We access company data only where needed to operate the service or to help you with a support request.
Where it is stored
Batchy runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Data is stored in our hosted database and file storage, with each company's records separated from others'. Uploaded files, such as item images, are stored in the same environment.
How long we keep it
Operational and activity records are retained for as long as your company's account is active, because inventory and production history must stay auditable over time. If your company ends its use of Batchy, contact us and we will discuss export and deletion of your data.
Your choices
You can view and update your own name and account details inside the application. To request a copy of your personal data, correct it, or ask for its deletion, contact your company administrator or reach us directly. Requests concerning company operational records are handled with the company administrator, since the company controls that data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Batchy after a change means the updated policy applies.
